Inauguration Corn -- January 19,2009

There are always other posts that I need to put up, other movies to finish, but the theme for today's ski was painfully obvious.

In the midst of a snowless January with 60 degree temperatures at Rainier, Andy, Kirsten, AP and I celebrated the coming inauguration of soon-to-be President Barack Obama with a ski of the Nisqually Chutes on the flanks of Mount Rainier.   A-fucking-men.

  1. I love you guys!!!!!. We had almost enough clothing on for standing in place at the base of the Washington Monument from 9AM to 2PM. IT WAS AMAZING. Imagine 2 million happy people in one place.

  3. This is incredible! A great way to celebrate the day. We are freezing our asses off in the Northeast this winter. Last weekend was -40 with the wind chill at the mountain. We skied anyway but it was COLD. And you guys were hardly wearing hats and skiing corn snow. Sounds like your parents were suffering but happy in DC too.

  4. Thanks Rhobiecop -- we've had crap for snow this year, so it was a welcome day all around. You definitely got the best of the PNW last year -- it's THIN right now.
